Friday 9th
Walk the Line with St. Kevin’s
The club are holding a 24 hour walk on the ground in an effort to raise funds for the continual running of the club all year round. They are looking to have 20 teams with 24 members on each so that each hour will be walked by one team member. The walk will start at 7pm so if you are interested in sponsorship of becoming a walker feel free to get in touch.
In Milltown GAA this Friday night there will be a special awards night to celebrate the achievements of the members and to present them with their accolades. All are welcome along to help make this night even greater for all involved.
Saturday 10th
This weekend is the Halloween mini muckers event which is just for the kids. Taking place in Mondello Park this Saturday the kids will be put through a tough and exhausting obstacle course with a difference, it will be covered in mud. They will have to wade through muddy swamps, climb over mud mounds and try to make it through the rest of the obstacles while being covered from top to toe in mud.
For any keen cyclist who wishes to join a group cycle every week then Naas Cycling Club has just what you are looking for. They are offering to show newbies to group cycling the rules and advantages of being a part of a group. They depart at 9am every Saturday with all the details you need in the link above.
Every Saturday from 10am the Clane Farmers Market is open for the public to come and purchase the freshest ingredients from local businesses and vendors.
If you are a keen runner or preparing for an upcoming charity run or marathon then you should take advantage of a free timed 5km run every Saturday morning at Naas Racecourse. All you need to do to avail of the track is to register and turn up. It is that simple!
In the Osprey Hotel this weekend is a fundraising night in aid of Cystinosis Ireland, a voluntary non-profit organisation. Based on the popular TV game show it is bound to be a night full of laughter and tension. Tickets are available from the Hotel reception.
Clane GAA are holding their annual race night this weekend with admission being free. All are welcomed along to a great night with the first race beginning at 8.30pm.
The table quiz being held tonight is in aid of charity Touch which provides support for children who are vulnerable in our world today. With over 60 projects currently in progress every cent raised goes directly towards funding these projects. It will cost €40 for a table of four on the night.
Sunday 11th
If you are planning a wedding or on the hunt for a spectacular venue then the wedding fair at the Westgrove Hotel this Sunday is the perfect place for you to visit. The fair begins from 2pm and you can expect to view the Hotel as you would on your wedding day, talk to vendors and the hotel co-ordinators all about what they can do to make your big day special.
