The Dun Laoghaire Rathdown Chamber of Commerce Business Awards took place last Thursday 27th September at a black-tie dinner in Fitzpatrick's Castle Hotel, Killiney.
Now in its second year, this annual event is firmly established as a highlight of the business networking calendar and is a showcase for businesses in the county to celebrate excellence with their staff and peers. The awards provide businesses with a unique opportunity to raise their business profile, enhance their reputation and generate new business.
President of DLR Chamber, Aileen Eglinton opened proceedings with a welcome speech and introduced Guests of Honour Ms Josepha Madigan TD, Minister for Culture, Heritage and the Gaeltacht and Councillor Tom Murphy. Alan Shortt MC kept everyone on their toes with his quick wit and humour.
There are 12 categories with a Winner and Highly Commended award in each category which is judged by the independent agency Spotcheck NI.
