The Green Dog Walker environmental awareness programme is getting a boost with the introduction of Talking Lamp Posts in Dun Laoghaire Rathdown.
The lamp posts will communicate a message about responsible dog ownership when it detects a person nearby.
The Green Dog Walkers initiative has been in operation for some time and was put in place to remind dog owners of the need to keep our parks and walks clean and safe for everyone.
The Dog Pooh video from 'Environment the Musical' created by Annette McNelis was part of the DLR Responsible Dog Owners 2017 radio campaign captures the inconvenience of finding yourself with Pooh on your Shoe!

All you have to do is download the Green Dog Walkers Form on the right of your screen and return it to the Council. The scheme is also available to local residents’ associations, community groups and Tidy Towns/Tidy Districts committees.
The initial temporary locations for the devices are Ballyogan, Marlay Park, Killiney Hill, Glenageary and Seapoint, but they will be rotated throughout the County over the year.
